The following are the terms and conditions for use of UNISAM INFOTECH (USI) Services. They must be read carefully prior to availing our services. We offer our services to you with the condition that you accept without modification the terms and conditions contained herein. USI may change these Terms of Service at any time, with or without notice. Accordingly, you must return to this webpage often to check for changes to the Terms of Services. By obtaining services from USI, you are indicating your agreement to be bound by all of the terms and conditions set forth in this document. These terms and conditions state important requirements regarding your use of USI Services, computer support service and your relationship with USI. This document contains important information regarding your rights and ours. In some cases we may request that you sign a form acknowledging this.

Disclaimer

UNISAM INFOTECH (herein referred to asUSI, the provider, we, us) will only perform and provide computer services, repairs, and upgrades as requested by the customer. The provider will conduct honest, reasonable, and considerate services. We make an effort to provide the highest quality of service and support, but specific results cannot be guaranteed. Computer service/repairs are provided as a service. There may be circumstances under which your computer can not be repaired. It may have to be rebuilt or upgraded. (Examples: Old PC, repair/replace obsolete parts). The time required to complete the service is often unpredictable, but we do make good effort to inform our customers of an estimated time. You authorize the technicians providing the service or repair to install anti-virus and other necessary software on your computer to provide required services. All software installed for this purpose will be removed upon completion of the service.

Customers Responsibility

You agree prior to any work consisting of diagnostic tests, repairs or services offered by USI that you will make adequate backup of any data held on any hard drive(s) device(s) Computers or laptops. USI will not be held liable under any circumstances for any loss of data however small or large in size. This condition also applies after a repair, service of any desktop computer or portable Laptop; once a repair or computer has been serviced it is the customer’s responsibility to make sure that you adequately backup your data. USI will not be liable if you encounter any software issues, hardware failure or data loss after returning your computer or laptop to you. Customers are responsible for providing any recovery discs or software with relevant authentic product license codes from the manufacturer, USI has the right to refuse services if it is believed that any software is deemed to be counterfeit. If no discs or product license codes are provided then it will be the customer’s responsibility to install these products, any software other than windows operating systems will be charged for unless this is previously agreed or comes part of a service provided by us.[Top]

Pricing and Billing

Prices listed for services on this website (see Service Rates) can be subject to change at any time, USI endeavor to retain its service costs as low as possible so customers continue to receive great value for money. USI upholds the right to refuse and honor any typing errors for service prices listed on this website. Prices for services listed on the website will exclude any costs for software or hardware, these will be extra and we aim to source software and hardware at cost price to the customer, the aim is not to make profit on these items in order to keep prices as low as possible. An estimate of cost for work will be provided before performing computer services/repairs. Estimates are not guaranteed. In the case that there is an unforeseen deviation, beyond the above estimated amount, every effort will be made to contact you and inform you of the situation and receive authorization to continue or stop at the estimate limit. In the case that you cannot be reached, work will stop until contact is established. Once reached, your decision to continue or stop will be honored by the provider. USI can charge customers a call out fee if on arrival(for onsite services)even in case there is no problem with the computer or laptop and it works, this fee is to cover our time and travel to you, the standard fee for this is Rs350/- which will need to be paid on leaving the customers property. If customers wish to cancel an appointment for a repair service or work at customers’ homes then a 2 hour notice period must be given, this is preferred to be given by calling us as we might not always be in a position to receive emails. USI offer a FREE collection and delivery service to make life easier for our customers, this service is for residents of Gomti Nagar Lucknow and the outskirts up to a distance of 6km; for distances of up to 10 km the charge is Rs60/- and for 20 Km is Rs75/-.[Top]

Terms of Payment

Full payment is due upon completion of services, upgrades, or repairs. USI accepts cash, DD, Paypal Money, Bank Transfer made in favor of “UNISAM INFOTECH” for current date only. For debit card and credit card payments a service fee of 2% of the bill amount is chargeable to the customer. Computer parts, hardware, and/or software that are ordered or special ordered must be paid for in advance.Returned/bounced cheques will incur a fee of Rs250/-. A Rs15/- finance charge will be assessed every ten (5) days after the invoice date. If computer is not picked up from the provider within thirty (30) days after the invoice date, after all attempts to contact you failed, the computer and any peripherals are considered abandoned and become the property of the provider.[Top]

Limitations of Liability

Customers agree to release, indemnify and hold harmless USI and the USI Service Engineer from liability for any claims or damages of any kind or description that may arise directly or indirectly from the services performed.To the extent permitted by law, you agree that USI’s total liability for damages related to its services is limited to the total amount you pay for the services, and you release USI from liability for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages. You agree that USI shall not be liable for any and all losses, (including loss/corruption/alteration of data) damages, costs, claims and other liabilities which arise as a result of any delay or interruption in, or any non-delivery, or missed delivery or failure of the Equipment and/or Services due to circumstances beyond our or any of our suppliers' reasonable control (including, but not limited to, fire, lightning, explosion, war, riot, disorder, flood, industrial dispute, sabotage, weather conditions, acts of god, local or central Government or other competent authorities), or for your inability to use your computer equipment or other product.Service(s) are provided in an effort to fix, upgrade, or otherwise repair the computer system(s) for which you request such service(s).Your systems will not be internally harmed. The primary goal is to fix your computer, not damage it. USI cannot be held liable for accidental damage of data to your system or data loss caused by already existing problems in your system such as viruses, incorrectly configured software, or hardware problems/failures, you agree not to hold the provider, its employees and subcontractors responsible for the accidental damage. It is your responsibility to back up your data. The provider will not be responsible for data loss.[Top]

Support


Customer satisfaction is our utmost importance. All services will be conducted in a professional, reasonable and timely manner. Also, taking into consideration the circumstances and nature of the technical problems. Free service will be provided for Three (3) days after the invoice date for problems to be resolved from the service order, but not resolved.[Top]

Repair & Service Garantee

All services and repairs are guaranteed for ten (10) days from the invoice date. If later found that the service or repair was incorrectly diagnosed by the technician(s). Then the provider will perform the repair/service free of any labor charge, up to one-hundred dollars (Rs100/-). New parts will be charged to the customer.[Top]

Estimates

All estimates for purchase of parts/components/computers/laptops and peripherals are provided free of cost. All repair/service estimates are free. For the best approximate estimate, answer all questions to the best of your ability. Estimates can change at any time.[Top]

Backup of Data

The customer is responsible for the backup of data on their computer. USI provides some fixed-rate services for data backup. At request of the customer, the provider will back up data for an additional fee. Windows and program files folders will not be backed up. USI will not be held responsible for files that are not backed up and lost. USI is in no way responsible for the content of the customer’s files.[Top]
